Testing with player profiles Follow
Introduction
To import and use player profile data you must use a session.
A session is a time-boxed booking that contains player profile information. Sessions are usually divided into 30-60 minute blocks, depending on if games are packaged together into a single booking.
Test sessions - A test session is different from a normal session and does NOT provide enough information to accurately represent a production booking. Test sessions should only be used to play a game quickly, and should not be used to validate any profile related dependencies. We recommend using normal sessions whenever possible, as test sessions as an exception to check game design.

How do I get player profile information loaded into a game?
There are 3 steps to getting player profile information loaded into a game.
Step 1 - Create a session (booking)
- When you create a booking, you are deciding on how many players might be joining the game to play, and a suitable date and time.
- Once a booking has been made, the booking becomes a session, and is available in the Portal.
- At this stage, the session only contains a table with one empty row dedicated to each of the players booked. Each row has fields for player profile information.
Step 2 - Add player profile information to the session
- When you view a session in the Portal, you can then add player profile information to each row (each player) in the session.
- The information entered includes: Email address, Display Name, First Name, Last Name, Left or Right-handed (not compulsory) and if they have signed the waiver (not compulsory).
- Once each row for a player has been filled, the data can be saved and is ready to be loaded into a game from the Launcher.
Step 3 - Assign a profile to each player's backpack
- From the Launcher, a list of sessions can be shown from the settings menu.
- Once a session is selected from the list, player profile information will be loaded into the Launcher, and players can select their profiles from inside the game or the Game Master can manually assign the profiles using the Launcher.

you only have 4 backpacks switched on during a session.

will be displayed automatically. - If the email is for a new player, you will need to enter the details in manually.
- Any emails attached to the player profile will receive game results.
- Example Data: Alex.Grona@ndreams.com | Alex The Great | Alex | Grona .
- If you are testing with chairs, you can enter your email address again, but with a plus and
a number before the @ndreams.com to create extra profiles that will still send emails to
your original account. Examples: Alex.Grona+1@ndreams.com |
Alex.Grona+2@ndreams.com. Both of these examples will give you an extra slot in the
