What is GoCardless?
- GoCardless is a payment solution provider.
- Zero Latency uses GoCardless to obtain payments from its clients.
- Clients sign up to GoCardless by providing their bank details and the authorisation to debit the account. Invoices are then raised against the account and are automatically paid/reconciled.
What if I don't want to use GoCardless?
As a contractual element, Zero Latency has developed its platform and priced its solution based on the ability to quickly obtain payments from clients. Without this ability, it would be more costly to obtain payments and therefore, the commercial agreement would need to be revisited.
In effect, Zero Latency does not negotiate away the ability to obtain payments automatically as one client requesting to not use it would require a large number of resources to be assigned to manually invoicing and reconciling those payments.
What if my bank account is not compatible?
GoCardless pride themselves on being compatible with almost all banking providers.

Will I get warned of invoices?
As a contractual element, Zero Latency payment terms are 14 days. Therefore, you will receive a copy of the invoice 14 days prior to it being executed by GoCardless.
Can I pay the invoice in an alternate way and will I get charged twice?
Yes, you can make a payment prior to the due date. Depending on your region, you can still make a standard bank transfer. However, this bank transfer needs to be received at the bank, remittance received and for the transactions to be reconciled prior to the due date otherwise you may be charged twice.
If this situation was to occur, Zero Latency will credit your account with the value of the overpayment.
