Streaming Servers Follow
Introduction
The streaming servers are the machines that the Headsets connect to when being powered on. A headset must be connected to a Streaming Server for it to work.
Launcher
To access Streaming Servers on the Launcher:
- Hover on the Settings button on the top right.
- Select Hardware and a widow will appear.
- Select Servers on the top bar of the window.
- Select the Streaming Server you want to interact with.
There are three options when interacting with a Streaming Server:
Shutdown
This will shut down the Streaming Server.
Restart
This will reboot the Streaming Server
Wake Up
Will power on the Streaming Server
Streaming Server PC
- The Streaming Server PC can be either a desktop machine or a converted G2 Backpack that usually lives with the rest of the networking equipment.
- There is a sticker on the top of the Streaming Server computer to indicate its number.
E.g. ZL-SS-SS-01. This may be slightly different if using a converted G2 backpack.
- You can physically power off and on the Streaming Server by the power button on the computer.
Troubleshooting
- If your Streaming Server PC does not respond to the shutdown or restart from the launcher please manually turn off the streaming by holding down the power button.
