Resolution of Player Takeaway Video Preview on GM PC Seems Low
After selecting the 'Setup Cameras' button - from inside the 'Hardware Setup' settings - some venues have commented on either the apparently-low Frame Rate or Resolution: of the PTV Camera 'Preview Screen'. Generally, these venues ask because they are concerned that this reflects the quality of the final-output of the Player Takeaway Video system.
Concerned About PTV Quality?
The quality of the preview for the PTV (Player Takeaway Video) does not reflect the quality of the final output of the PTV system.
The preview for the PTV (Player Takeaway Video) from the GM station displays a low quality, low frame rate preview of the camera to allow for changes to the orientation of the camera, and to ensure that they are working.
The PTV output is significantly higher quality (1080p or 4K depending on the camera) and much higher frame rate (25fps).
