Step 1: Camera Login and Configuration
- On the Game Master PC, select 'Hardware Setup' from the Settings menu.
- Select 'Setup Cameras'
The system will scan the network, identifying if each camera is connected. Once detected, the cameras will automatically begin to configure themselves in software: if not already configured.
Once the configuration in software is completed, each camera will display a preview of the game space to allow validation of the camera angle.
Pressing "Reset Cameras" will wipe the configuration on the server and restart the setup process for the cameras.
Note that the Camera Preview shown is not representative of quality of the final Player Takeaway Video. The Preview is primarily there to allow for camera orientation.
Step 2: Flipping the Camera Image
If the camera has been mounted in such a way that the image appears upside-down in the preview then the "Flip Camera" button can be used to toggle the camera vertical orientation. The configuration will take a few seconds after the button is pressed.
Step 3: Camera Alignment
Camera alignment can be achieved by gently rotating the cameras within their housing.
You can make manual adjustments to the camera and view the changes on the GM camera preview screen.
Reolink Camera:
Horizontal Adjustment: The Reolink cameras can be roated around the base 360°.
Vertical adjustment: The camera "ball" can be moved within the housing up and down to achieve the correct orientation
Twist Adjustment: The Reolink can also be gently turned clockwise/counter-clockwise within its housing to easily adjust for any slight angle.
As the Reolink cameras have a 93° field of view, it is best to align them so that you have equal amounts of wall visible on each side of the visual field of the camera.
Ubiquiti Cameras:
Vertical adjustment: Pushing gently above or below the black camera lens to tilt the camera up and down
Horizontal Adjustment: Turn the camera base left and right for horizontal adjustment
As the Ubiquity G3 Flex camera has only an 80-degree field of view, rotate the camera so the game space wall to the left of the camera view is just out of sight.
