What is this section used for?
This section controls the pricing of each package that a site offers. It also allows for dynamic pricing by using pricing schedules. The pricing page contains the following:
- Pricing Tiers
- Weekly Pricing Schedules
- Date Pricing Schedules
Caution
Changes to the pricing will impact the prices on the Booking System. Make sure everything is correct before you save.
- Click on the "Manage Tiers" button.
Caution
If no Pricing Tiers have been created, you won't be able to make Open Times. If a package has not been added to existing or new Open Times, then no one will be able to book it. Pricing and Open Times go hand-in-hand.
- A window will appear, click on the "New Tier" button to create a new pricing tier.
- In this example, there is already a peak tier however we are going to make an off-peak tier.
- Another window will appear. This is used to create the new tier.
- Fill in the form with your requirements. The form requires a Name, Text Colour, Price of each package and a checkbox which specifies if you would allow promotion codes.
- When your pricing tier is complete, click the "Save" button
You should now see your created pricing tier.
- It's important to set a Default Pricing Tier. This means that if there are no schedules in place, the price will always default to this pricing tier.
- Click the "Set Default" button to choose the default pricing tier.
- Make sure you click the "Save" button.
Flat Rate vs Per Person
When creating Private Event packages, or Other Attraction (3rd party) packages, pricing can be set to Per Person or Flat Rate price. A per-person rate allows you to set a price by the number of people booked. A flat rate price, allows you to set a price to the entire booking and space occupancy. When creating packages, Client Services will ask you which option you would like to set for your packages as this setting is only available to Client Services from the Package creation page. Following the change, the pricing tiers displayed will allow you to input the price based on your tiers.
