Promotion Codes Overview

Introduction

Promotion Codes are perfect for special events, marketing promotions and public holidays. If a particular site would like to make specific codes, it can be done in this section.

Warning

If the promotional code discounts the cost of a ticket to $0, then a free ticket will be used.

Who can use this feature?

Any user that has access to the "Promotion Codes" user permission can use this feature.

If you do not have access to this feature, please speak to your Operations Manager.

How do I access the "Promotion Codes" page?

How do I deactivate/activate an existing promotion code?

If you would like to deactivate/activate an existing promotion code, it can be done in the promotion codes page.

• Navigate to the relevant code.
• Click Deactivate.

How can customers redeem a promotion code?

• Input the code in the Discount Code field during checkout or in the booking page on the Portal.

How do I make a promotion code?

• Click on the "Add PromoCode" button

The promotion code can be customised extensively.

Code 

• This field can be left as is, or it can be changed to a customisable name. For example, ZERLAT25

Is Percent 

• Tick the box to make it a percentage. Untick to make it a fixed monetary amount.

Is Per Slot (Per Person)

• Tick this box to make the discount per person. Untick this box if the discount is for the whole booking. For Example, you could have 5% off per person or 5% for the whole booking
• Note: If this box is checked, then this discount will not be applied to the private session fee.

Discount 

• This is the discount amount. Enter a number in this field.
• Note: If the "Is Per Slot" is not checked, then this discount will also be applied to the private session fee.

Minimum Players Per Booking

• This is the minimum number of players required to apply the promotion.

Maximum Players Per Booking

• This is the maximum number of players the promotion applies to.

Open and Close Date 

• You are required to set the dates for the promotion code to be active. Once the dates have passed, the promotion code will become inactive. Please note, you also need to tick the "Active" checkbox.

Redeem Limit 

• This is the number of times this promotion code can be redeemed. Leave this blank for an infinite redeem limit.

Redeem Limit Per Player 

• This is the number of times a unique customer can use the same promotion across different bookings.

Package Type

• Select this if you would like to set promotion limitations to:
  • Standard Booking packages
  • Private Event package
  • All packages

Active 

• Tick this box to make the promotion code active. Untick to make it inactive

Player 

• You can link the promotion code to a specific player. This means that the promotion code is locked to only this email

Notes

• This is a great way to keep track of why various codes were created and they should be used for. Any details about the promotion code you'd like to be known should be put here.

Campaign Entry

• You can link your promotion codes to any mail campaigns that you have created.

Usable Dates 

• You are required to specify when the promotion code can be used. It can be: Any Date, Only days of the week, Only on dates or Range.

Info

It is entirely possible to set a promotion code to be active from a set date range but can be used on a totally different date range. For example, you can have the open and close dates from the 01/01/2021 to 10/01/2021 to sell sessions in the future (have it used from 20/01/2021 to 25/01/2021).

How can I create bulk promotion codes?

Promotion Code Batches are a great way to create a large number of Promotion codes for third party travel and entertainment services like Groupon, Costco etc.

To get started with Promotion Code Batches

• Click Batches under Promo Codes.
• Click Create Batch.

The parameters of promotion batches can be edited extensively.
