5. Your QR code should appear in your downloads and can be used across a number of different media
Placing QR codes around your venue
In order to get the most out of your QR codes, it is critical that they be placed strategically around your venue in high-traffic areas, including:
- Player entry/foyer
- Where players store belongings
- Gamespace viewing areas
- Debrief areas
- Venue exits
Increasing QR code use through Game Master-led interactions
People are more likely to leave a review if they have a great rapport with their game master, in addition to just having had a mind-blowing experience
- Encourage your game masters to greet every customer immediately upon arriving at the venue for the sign-in process
- Ask questions and begin developing a relationship with the customers
- Find moments during the experience to enhance the game by:
- Making jokes with the players
- Giving interesting information about the experience itself
- Providing commentary on player performance throughout the experience
- This can be especially useful for competitive experiences such as Undead Arena and Sol Raiders.
- Once the experience is over, keep the customers ‘ attention by going through their scores on the scoreboard, taking particular care to highlight strong performances in headshot accuracy, and if anyone has made the top 10 leaderboard
- Once customers have been debriefed, the Game Master should appeal to the group to leave a review, pointing out any of the many QR codes that should be around your venue
