Engineerium: Game Information Follow
Introduction
Duration: 13 minutes + 2 minutes Buffer (15-minute game)
Get ready to have your world turned upside down. Literally. Engineerium is a walking adventure that'll leave you questioning your own reality.
Escape into a fantastical ancient alien world, suspended above an ocean, where gravity does not function as expected. In fact, nothing is as expected in this world designed to test your ability to coordinate your mind and body.
Walk among flying whales and parrot rays and connect the platforms to progress through the game. Colourful characters and bright, friendly music accompany you on the journey. Teamwork is key in this unique virtual reality game that lets you walk up and down ramps and twisty, curvy walls, defying gravity.

How does the game work?
- This game is designed to be at a slow walking pace.
- There are ramps and spirals that will challenge most players.
- You will notice that most players will walk very slowly during this game because they are scared of "falling".



How does the game progress?
Waypoints (Tiles)
When the players come across the waypoints (tiles), each player needs to stand on a waypoint to progress through the game.
Orbs
When the players see the orb, they need to crowd around it to progress to the next section. When everyone is close it will "pop" and disappear.
How do we keep players safe?
Game Rules
- No running or jumping
- No sitting or lying on the floor
- If heavily pregnant or have a serious medical condition, tell the Host
- This experience can be intense. If the player is overwhelmed allow them to remove their goggles and raise their hand so the Host/Runner can assist.
Player Proximity Alarm
- When too close to another player, a radar will appear on the player's screen. The "white" figure in the middle represents the player's position in the game and the other "white" figure represents another player. When this radar appears, they must step away from the other player to avoid a collision.
- A "red" warning banner "Watch Your Spacing" will appear and an alarm will sound.
Info
Depending on you Game Space size will depend on the sensitivity of this alarm. In smaller Game Spaces you may not have any proximity alarm warnings.
Wall Proximity Alarm
- When too close to a wall, a "red" safety wall will appear with a radar. The "white" figure in the middle represents the player position in the game and the "yellow" line represents the wall. When this radar appears, they must step away from the wall to avoid a collision.
- The game will also automatically pause for all players until they move away.
- A "red" warning banner "Avoid The Walls" will appear and an alarm will sound.
How does the scoring work?
- The scoring is distance-based.
- For every meter (step) the player will accumulate 1 point.
- This is how the scoreboard will appear for Engineerium.
