Step 24: Calibrate the Gamespace Follow
Introduction
Any time you complete a new scan or an update to the game space map, a calibration and floor height adjustment must be run to ensure alignment is accurate.
This ensures the virtual environment is safe and unobstructed for players during experiences. If the alignment is not correct, players could potentially walk into walls or they will not be using the whole game space.
This article will guide you through the steps of Calibrating the gamespace with the Wrist Tracker.
Caution
Game space Calibration alone will likely not resolve tracking issues. If you wish to improve tracking, first conduct a Spatial Map update, and then complete a Gamespace Calibration
Time Required
30 minutes
Tools and Equipment Required

- Power on the Controller with Wrist Tracker.
- Ensure that the Wrist Tracker is paired with a Headset.
- Move into the Gamespace and gain tracking with the Headset.

Warning
When designating the corners, ensure that the tracker is within the circle of the Physical sticker.
Adjusting Floor Height
(This is a new feature included with launcher 4.1.0+, if you are on an older version of Launcher as of reading; please contact Client Services to assist you with Floor height adjustment)
Once you have checked the walls, you'll be able to then make an adjustment to the floor height so it better matches with your site's actual floor.
This can now be done in the Gamespace Calibration tool (v1.8+) as part of the calibration process.
The instructions will guide you through how to lay your gun down on the floor, making sure the tracker is in clear for the headset to know its position.
Then by pulling the trigger, the floor height will be automatically adjusted up/down to closely reflect the tracker's position against it. If you're happy that the new floor height better represents the actual floor position, then feel free to continue.
At the end of the calibration, you will get a rating.
-
- Good: This is a highly accurate calibration.
- Ok: This is within an acceptable error range, we highly recommend you redo the calibration.
-
Poor: This is not acceptable and will need to be redone. You will not be able to save this.
Warning
If the system provides a poor rating three times in a row, please contact Zero Latency Client Services via the Support Phone or a ticket. There are some quick and small adjustments we can make to fine tune the calibration.
- Once this is complete we recommend that you test the boundaries on each of the following games:
- Engineerium or Zombie Survival
- Sol Raiders
- Undead Arena
