How do I Close the Venue? Follow
Introduction
At the end of the day when all the customers leave, we need to ensure that we follow the correct closing procedure.
The following article can be used as a template to ensure the venue has been successfully closed.

Sign-in Tablets
What do we need to do?
We need to make sure that the tablets are off and placed on charge.
How do we do it?
- Hold down the power button.
- Connect to the charging cable.
Wearable Sets
Headsets
What do we need to do?
We need to make sure that the headsets are powered off and placed on charge.
How do we do it?
- On the Launcher under Hardware, select any headset that is Active, on Standby or Reserve and click on Shutdown.
- Take the charging cable that is located on the Equipment Wall and connect it to the back charging port of the headset.
Controllers
What do we need to do?
We need to make sure that the controllers are charged before the next session, as shown in the following article: How do I open a venue?
Controllers must not be charged while the venue is unattended. You should plan your charging while the venue is attended but outside operations. For example during venue setup and/or closure.
Danger
Never leave any Controllers charging unattended or overnight.
How do we do it?
- From storage, obtain the Controller Charging Kit.
- Lay them out so they’re in the middle of 4 controllers (as each charging unit can charge four controllers at once).
- Plug the controller charging AC adaptor into the wall.
- Make sure the charger module is powered on, then plug the charging connector into the controller.
- The charger will "Beep" once and display the relevant information about the Battery. It will show the 1st cell voltage, the 2nd cell voltage then lastly, the total voltage.
- When the controller is fully charged, it will begin flashing the message “FUL” and beep once every five seconds. Unplug the controller from the charger and return it to operation.
Game Master Station
What do we need to do?
We need to make sure that the Game Master PC is kept powered on with the Monitors powered off.
How do we do it?
- Do not power off the Game Master PC.
- Press the power button on the screen.
Safety Briefing
What do we need to do?
Power off the Briefing PC, Peripherals and TV.
How do we do it?
The Front of House PC:
- Click on the "Windows logo" on the bottom left of the screen.
- Click on the "Power logo".
- Select "Shut down".
The Peripherals:
- Power off the keyboard, mouse and clicker.
The TV:
- Using the remote, press the power button.
Spectator
What do we need to do?
We need to make sure the Spectator TV is Powered off, while ensuring the Spectator machine PC is left powered on.
How do we do it?
The Spectator:
- Do not power off the PC.
The TV:
- Using the remote, press the power button.
Other Venue-Specific Amenities
What do we need to do?
We need to make sure that all the other amenities are off (bathroom, lights, heaters, air conditioners etc).
