[Dual System] - Dual System Setup Overview Follow
Warning: This article is for Dual System only.
Introduction
Welcome to the Dual System setup. This overview contains information that will be useful for the setup of your Dual system. Please read the contents carefully and if you have any questions, please get in contact with the Client Services team.
When you first receive you Dual System, it will come packaged as two single systems. When the systems were built, they were given "Site Codes" which are 4 letter codes that we use to easily refer to a particular site.
Because a dual system is assembled as two separate systems, you will have a "Primary" site code on half of the equipment (System A), and a "Secondary" side code on the other half of the equipment (System B).
Before going too much further in this setup guide, please ensure that you have contacted Client Services and confirmed which side code is the Primary for your site. Later on in this guide you will be setting up equipment and re-naming some equipment based on these designations, so it's important that you know which is your primary site code.
System Naming
As a Dual system necessarily contains two sets of equipment for two separate
systems, we need a way of differentiating between the equipment used in one system
vs the other.
To this end, we name the systems "System A" and "System B". The equipment will
be named slightly differently depending on the system to ensure that we can differentiate
between a server on "System A" vs a server on "System B"
The naming scheme below was decided on to ensure consistency and ensure that
when Client Services is communicating with site operators, a common naming scheme
is used to reduce communication errors.
XX-XX in the below names is a placeholder for your Primary site code. The Secondary side code will not be used post-setup.

When you first receive your equipment, it will have two different site codes. One is your primary site code, and one is a placeholder.
The Primary will be System A,
The Placeholder will be System B.
Please contact Client Services to determine which one is which.
Dual System Site Setup
Once you have confirmed which site code is your Primary, continue to Dual System on site setup. This process is quite lengthy, please ensure during the process you keep the equipment for both systems as separate from each other as you can.
Mixing equipment during setup can make it quite confusing when trying to debug issues later on.
