Introduction
QR codes provide a quick and easy way for customers to leave reviews on Google, Facebook etc. at the end of a session when they’re positively buzzed!
Social connection is key as Game Masters personalising the request and asking in person achieves the strongest response - customers are less likely to defer or decline.
These articles will help you get setup so your venue gets more reviews, whilst also providing an opportunity to incentivize game master’s venue review performance.
As a bonus, our team have provided templates so that you get not only have a QR code for venue reviews, but you'll also have a QR code linking straight to your booking system, as well as another QR code which links customers to purchase gift vouchers.

Before you begin - Prepare Review Links
Firstly, ensure that you have completed:
So that clients are able to review your venue on different websites as easily as possible, you’ll want to provide them with direct links to review your venue. This means, that when a player visits your link, they are instantly brought to a review screen, instead of your main page, where they’d need to search for a review section, before leaving a review.
1. Google Review link:
- Go to your Google Business Profile. Learn how to find your profile.
- To find your review link:
- With Google Search, select Ask for reviews.
- With Google Maps, select Customers → Reviews → Get more reviews.
- Save this link to use later.
2. Facebook Review link:
- Go to your Facebook Business page.
- Click on the "Settings" tab located at the top right of your page.
- From the settings menu, select "Templates and Tabs" on the left-hand side.
- Scroll down and find the "Reviews" tab.
- Click on the "Settings" button beside the "Reviews" tab.
- In the "Reviews" settings, you will see the option to share the direct link to your page for reviews.
- Copy the URL provided and save this link to use later.
3. Any other provider which you’d like to have reviews, simply google:
- “How to find xxx business shareable review link?” (Where xxx could be TripAdvisor, Viator, Groupon etc…)
How to Create your first QR Code for Venue Reviews (Using the General Template)

Login to https://qrfy.com/ with your chosen email address.

Click on “My QR Codes”.

Here you will see you folder with your venue code - Select it.

Note: If you have more than one venue folder visible, you will need to repeat the entire process for each venue folder.

Find the QR Code with “General Template” in the name, then press the three dots on the right and select “Edit”.

Name the QR Code [Venue-Code Review - General] for example, “ZL-BN Review - General”.

This is important, as it will be used for Analytics.
Basic Information

- Title - Create a title which represent your venue, for example - “Zero Latency VR Brisbane”.
- Description - Create a description which entices players to leave a review, we suggest to make it more personal by making it seem as if the GM is asking for the review, for example: “Rate your experience :) Mentioning your game master will help them greatly!
Content

Links - Here is where you provide direct review links to services like Google, Facebook, TripAdvisor etc.

Press “Add Link”

Provide the image for the service which you’d want to connect, for example - Google Logo (Use google to download icon image you require).
- Provide a link text, which describes the action, for example “Leave a Google Review”.

Enter the Google Review link you found earlier.

If you’d like to add another link, press “Add link”, then repeat steps b to e for each website you’d like customers to leave a review.

Social Networks - Here you can add all the social media pages and can add whatever details you’d like. Remember, if the page you are sharing has the option for a review, you should link straight to the review area.

Event Tracking - Toggle this on, it will provide better reporting for your QR codes.

URL Configuration - Here you can create a custom URL for your QR code. We recommend to use a custom URL similar to the name of the QR code.
NOTE: Changing this URL link will change the QR code, making any previous versions unusable.-
Auto Generate - Turn this off.

Type in a URL similar to the name of the QR code, for example https://qrfy.com/p/ZL-BN_Review-General.
Configuration

Folder - A folder has already been generated with your venue code. It is important that you add each QR code you create to your venue’s folder. Ensure to the folder which matches your venue code is selected, for example “ZL-BN”.

In the top right of the screen, press “Save”.
This finishes the QR code, so that it is ready for use. You can use this to get reviews, and it can also be used as your template for personalized GM reviews.
How to edit, view details and download individual QR codes

Visit “My QR Codes” https://qrfy.com/my-qr-codes, which will bring up the QR codes you have created.

To download - On the right of each QR code, is the “Download” button. Clicking this will allow you to download the QR code in whichever format you’d like.

To view stats of a single QR code - On the right of each QR code, is the “Detail” button. Clicking this will allow you to view the statistics of the individual QR code.

To edit a QR code - On the right of each QR code, there is a three dot menu button. Clicking this will allow you to edit, duplicate or print a QR code. You can also add that QR code to your favorite's list.
How to view statistics of all QR codes
1. Visit https://qrfy.com/app/analysis , or press on the "stats" tile in the QRFY menu.
2. This window give you access to see how your QR codes have been performance. Be sure to:
- Filter to show Total, Unique and Visits to the preview checkboxes:
- Adjust the time period at the top left corner, as well as the venue folder you'd like to follow:
Creating and tracking QRs for individual Game Masters
When asking for a review, it is important for the Game Master to personalize their ask to the customer, letting the customer know that if their name is mentioned in a review, it helps them out with their professional development.
There is also another way you can track the individual performance of a Game Master - By providing each Game Master with their own QR code - which they can have printed on a lanyard or small table stand, and present to each group they oversee.
As long as each QR code you create has the GM’s name in it, you will be able to track their review performance in the statistics page https://qrfy.com/analysis. Although it is not possible to know how many reviews were created, you can see the number of scans, page visits and interactions with links.
How to create a QR code for each Game Master
For this example, we will create a QR code for Tony and Sarah.

Visit “My QR Codes” https://qrfy.com/my-qr-codes.

Click on the “three dots” menu button against your General review QR code, then press duplicate, then Confirm duplicate.

The duplicated QR code will appear above. Click on the edit pencil next to the duplicated QR code, so that you can rename the QR code.

Rename the QR code, so that General is replaced with your GM’s name, for example “ZL-BN Review - Tony”.

This is important, so that you can track your GM’s performance.

Press “Save”.
-
Click on the “three dots” menu button against your GM’s QR code, then press edit.
Basic Information -
Adding your GM’s face as the profile image for their own QR code, helps to personalise the review.

Navigate down to Basic Information, and update the Logo to instead have your GM’s face picture.

We recommend to update your description, to instead mention your GM’s name, for example: “Rate your experience with Tony :) It will help them greatly!”.

This message along with a profile picture makes the review feel personal, and improves chances of the customer providing a positive review.
Stats

Scroll down to Stats, and use a custom URL similar to the name of the QR code.
NOTE: Changing this URL link will change the QR code, making any previous versions of this exact QR code unusable (won’t effect duplicates).-
Auto Generate - Turn this off.

Type in a URL similar to the name of the QR code, for example “https://qrfy.com/p/ZL-BN_Review-Tony” .

Press Next at the top right corner of the page.
Frame
-
Within Frame menu, edit "Text" field to have a title for the QR code, which helps personalise the GM's QR Code - For example - "LEAVE TONY A REVIEW".

This is recommended to make it easier for GM’s to select the right QR code that represents them, make identification easier for both GM's and customers.

Press complete at the top right corner.
You have now created a personalized QR code for your GM. In order to create a QR code for each of your GM’s, repeat steps 1 to 11.
How to Create your QR Code (From Scratch)
- Login to https://qrfy.com/ with your chosen email address.
- Click on “My QR Codes”.
- Here you will see you folder with your venue code - this will be used in the future.
- Press on the + symbol → create QR code.
- Select “List of links” from the Dynamic QR menu.
- Name the QR Code [Venue-Code Review - General] for example, “ZL-BN Review - General”.
- This is important, as it will be used for Analytics.
Appearance
- This is important, as it will be used for Analytics.
- Template - We recommend to select Template 1; but you can change this later.
- Design - For design, we recommend:
- Background color: #000000
- Background color of the link: #FFFFFF
- Link text color: #38BCEE
- Fonts - For Fronts, we have left this default. Recommended to leave for now as you can change this later.
- Navbar - For Navbar settings, choose color: #FFFFFF.
Basic Information
- Cover image - Upload provided cover image:
- This can be changed later.

- Logo - Change Logo to:
- This can be changed later - you might need to drag and drop the logo from your file system into the upload box.

Content
- Links - Here is where you provide direct review links to services like Google, Facebook, TripAdvisor etc.
- Delete all the links that are there by default.
- Press “Add Link”
- Provide the image for the service which you’d want to connect, for example - Google Logo (Use google to download icon image you require).
- Provide a link text, which describes the action, for example “Leave a Google Review”.
- Enter the Google Review link you found earlier.
- If you’d like to add another link, press “Add link”, then repeat steps b to e for each website you’d like customers to leave a review.
- Images - You can leave this blank. It will add a image gallery at the underneath the links. You can experiment with this later.
- Social Networks - Here you can add all the social media pages and can add whatever details you’d like. Remember, if the page you are sharing has the option for a review, you should link straight to the review area.
- Press the X to delete the default social accounts.
- Title - Add a title which makes customers want to join, for example “Follow us for exclusive content:”.
- Select any social icon’s you’d like to add (we recommend no more than 4).
- Provide the URL for each social page. You can also add global Zero Latency pages.
- Welcome Screen - Here you have two options, leaving this section blank will mean players who scan the QR code are taken straight to the page you’ve been building. But you also have the option to create a loading message, which lasts for 2.5 seconds or longer. You can generate a message in an image, then attach the image. The message could read, for example: “It was so good to have you! Your reviews mean a lot!”
Stats
Here you can link your analytics accounts. We recommend to do this at a later stage.- GA 4 (Google Analytics) Tracking ID
- Facebook Pixel ID
- GTM (Google Tag Manager) ID
- Event Tracking - Toggle this on, it will provide better reporting for your QR codes.
- Schedule a date - Here you can choose when your QR code is operational. We recommend not to use this feature.
- URL Configuration - Here you can create a custom URL for your QR code. We recommend to use a custom URL similar to the name of the QR code.
NOTE: Changing this URL link will change the QR code, making any previous versions unusable.- Auto Generate - Turn this off.
- Type in a URL similar to the name of the QR code, for example
https://qrfy.com/p/ZL-BN_Review-General .
- Scan Limit - We recommend not limiting the number of scans from a QR code.
Configuration
- Folder - A folder has already been generated with your venue code. It is important that you add each QR code you create to your venue’s folder.
- Select folder which matches your venue code, for example “ZL-BN”.
- It is best not to create more folders, but if you do need to - be sure to start it with your venue code, for example “ZL-BN Promotions”.
- Select folder which matches your venue code, for example “ZL-BN”.
- Domain/Password - We recommend skipping these options.
- In the top right of the screen, press “Next”.
Design the QR
Here is where you design the look of the QR code. Our marketing team have provided templates which you can use. But you also have the ability to create your own design.
- If you want to use an existing template
- Navigate to “templates”.
- Select Template - choose a template which you like the most.
- Press “Complete” at the top right corner of the page.
This finishes the QR code, so that it is ready for use.
Creating your own QR code design
- If you want to customize the design of the QR code, visit personlized design.
- Frame - Here you can choose the general framing of the QR code, select one which suits you.
- QR code style - This allows your to pick the complexity of the QR code itself. We recommend using simple designs, to make picture recognition easier for mobile devices.
- Border and Background - Here you can adjust the colors of the border and background. If you are changing these, ensure they are contrasting the code itself, to aid with picture recognition.
- Corners - Here you can choose the corner styling of the QR code, you can also adjust the colors of the corners and background. If you are changing these, ensure they are contrasting the code itself, to aid with picture recognition.
- Correction Level - We recommend the default 25% setting.
- Add logo - Here you can add a picture to the center of the QR code, for example the Zero Latency VR logo.
- Press “Complete” at the top right corner of the page.
- This finishes the QR code, so that it is ready for use.
