Understanding the Ticket Sales Dashboard Follow
Introduction
The Ticket Sales dashboard gives you a quick read on how many tickets and bookings your venue is generating, when they're being purchased, and what's driving them. It's the best starting point for understanding your sales momentum at a glance.

Key Metrics
The cards at the top show your headline numbers for the selected period, each compared against the previous period so you can see if you're trending up or down.
- Total tickets sold - count of all tickets sold in the period.
- Bookings - the number of bookings placed.
- Avg tickets / booking - your typical group size per booking.
- Top package - your best selling package for the period, with its ticket and booking counts.
Sales Over Time
Two trend charts show your sales pattern across the selected range, with the previous period overlaid and average lines so spikes and dips stand out.
- Tickets sold over time - tickets sold per time bucket, by purchase time (venue-local).
- Bookings over time - bookings placed per time bucket, by purchase time (venue-local).
By Weekday & Hour
A heatmap showing when during the week tickets are purchased, aggregated across the selected range. Darker cells mean more purchases in that weekday and hour combination.
Breakdown
- Tickets by package - tickets sold grouped by package. Click a bar to filter the dashboard to that package.
- Transactions by payment type - payment transactions grouped by method (incoming payments only).
Ways to Use This Dashboard
- Check the headline cards weekly. A drop in tickets alongside a rise in bookings usually means group sizes are shrinking, which is worth digging into on the Cart Size dashboard.
- Use the By weekday & hour heatmap to spot your quiet purchase windows. These are good candidates for time-limited promotions or targeted ads.
- Compare the trend against the previous period to see whether a busy week is genuine growth or just a seasonal pattern.
- Review Tickets by package to see which packages are pulling their weight, and which might need a marketing push or a pricing review.
Filters
Use the controls at the top of the dashboard: Scope (This venue or All venues), Date range, Compare to, Group by, and Packages.
