How do I prepare a Session?

Introduction

The preparation phase is one of the most important aspects of back-to-back sessions. It should be performed as soon as the previous session is finished.

Prepare the Equipment

Ensure the Wearable Sets are ready:

• Ensure the Headsets are clean from the previous session.
  • Headset: Cleaning
• The Wearable Sets are placed together and not mixed up with other sets.
  • The controller on the bottom Hook
  • The headset on the top Hook

Power on the required Headsets and Controllers:

• Turn on the number of headsets for the players in the next session. These will be in Standby mode if a current session is in play.
  • When a session ends, any headsets in Standby will change to Active, ready to be used by the next playing group. Any headsets that were Active will automatically be placed on Standby.
  • If there aren’t enough headsets to power on before the next session, you will just need to clean and power on the headsets from the previous session to make up the difference. These will be in Standby mode and you’ll have to activate them manually.

  • If it’s the first session of the day, headsets will auto-load into an Active state up to a max of 8 Wearable Sets, or 6 Wearable sets if you only have 6 streaming servers (as long as you don’t have a game in progress).
• Check the Controller LED is purple or green, this means that they are ready to connect or have already connected.

Swap Batteries if they're below 30%

• Refer to this guide on how to swap the headset batteries. 
• If the battery shows two lights or fewer, swap it with the spare and place the battery on charge.

Prepare the Game Space

• Ensure there are no players in the Game Space and it is clear of any clutter or hazards before bringing the next group out.

Prepare the Launcher

• Ensure the correct Game is selected on the Launcher.
• Select the correct Session time in Settings.
  • This will load all the player information from the Sign-in Tablets.

Warning

If the session is selected too early before all the players have completed in the Sign-in Tablet, you will not see all the player profiles in the game lobby. Ensure that the Sign-in Tablets have been completed prior to selecting the game.
